We are continually developing new features and improving design and we hope you will enjoy the work we put into keeping a good balance between features and ease of use. - What is the difference between the free and paid version of Viewti Golf 2010?
- Viewti Golf 2010 free has ads and users will have no access to the practice section and statistics. We recently added the camera swing analysis feature into the free version, as well as the ability to view past rounds and e-mailing it.
- How much data does the application use on a typical round of golf?
- Loading the course images of a typical round of golf takes about 2.5 MB. You can avoid using data by saving the courses into My Courses with a wi-fi connection prior to the game.
- If I get no reception will I still be able to use the application?
- After starting the app and viewing the holes beforehand, you will no longer need reception to continue using the app.
- How is the battery life while using ViewTi?
- The app should last a full round on a full charge, but battery capacities varies with the version of Iphone you are using (Iphone 4 having the most capacity). You can preserve battery life by turning off Bluetooth, Push Notification, and Wi-fi. We recommend getting an external battery for your phone such as EnerG Slim-Fit Extended Rechargeable Battery Case (for Iphone 3G and 3GS).
- Which devices work with ViewTi Golf 2010?
- Yes, our application will work on the iPod Touch but several functions will be missing from the application. Because the iPod Touch does not possess a camera, the Camera Function under the Practice section will not work, hence you will not be able to analyze your swing. Also you will not have GPS unless you are within a Wi-Fi range, so the yardage will not be accurate (cannot update). You can save the course prior to playing so you can use the course layouts to get yardages.
- Will ViewTi Golf 2010 be available on other phones?
- We are in development on the Android platform.
- Will I be able to use ViewTi Golf 2010 when I travel to another country?
- The application will work regardless of where you are. We suggest that you ask your service provider regarding possible data charges for using the internet while traveling. To avoid data charges while traveling out of your service area, please go into options and turn on the traveling option. Prior to playing a round, please download the course with a wi-fi connection.
- What is Project Viewtiful about and how do I access it?
- Project Viewtiful is our in beta website that saves a compilation of our users' recorded rounds. Use the e-mail you entered into the app to log into our site to view your past rounds, check your statistics, and analyze your games.
- Why is my course not on your application?
- You can request a course to be added by contacting us. Our images are the most current images provided by Google Maps. You can search for your course and let us know if the holes on your course are clearly visible and our team will map the course for you.
- How do I add new courses to the application?
- Simply email us the course information along with a copy of the scorecard and our team will add the course. Once added, the course will automatically appear in the app.
- Before I get to the course layout, what is the teebox page for?
- On the teebox page, if we can find the teebox information, it will be listed. You can Add a New Teebox, if we do not have that information. All you will need is the slope and the rating. Choose No Teebox if you are unsure of your teebox choice. This information will help calculate your handicap score.
- How do I edit past rounds?
- Depending on how you score-keep, you may be able to edit the scorecard after you saved and ended the game. If you used the simplified scoring, you can tap on the scorecard icon on the main menu. Choose the course you want to edit then, tap on the scoreboxes on the scorecard to edit the score.
However, if you used the shot tracker, we have plans to add the editing feature on our website, Viewtiful. For now, you will be unable to edit the round after you have saved and ended the round. You can edit before you end it, go back to the hole and tap on the numbered strokes on the layout and edit.
- How do I review past rounds?
- On the main menu, tap on the scorecard icon, tap on the course you want to review. You can also review your scores on our website, Viewtiful.
- How can I delete and save courses from My Courses list?
- To save a course, please find the intended course on the search page. Tap on the black arrow and save. To delete, find the course you want to delete on My Courses. Tap on the black arrow and delete.
- What is the traveling feature?
- The traveling feature is meant for users that travel abroad and want to play golf. Turn this feature on in options to avoid roaming data charges. Pair this with saving the intended courses in My Courses with a wi-fi connection and you will avoid the charges.
- The scorecard pops up randomly, how do I exit out of it?
- To exit out of the scorecard, switch your Iphone from a horizontal position to a vertical position and it should automatically go back to the course screen. The scorecard is automatically displayed when your Iphone is in a horizontal position.
Another way to exit the scorecard, tap on the gear icon and tap on the X to exit.
- Why is my yardage inaccurate?
- It takes a bit of time (around 10 seconds) for the GPS to boot up from the sleep mode that the Iphone goes into. Make sure the distance is in white, red means it is still calculating yardage. You can change your auto-lock settings to perhaps avoid some of these issues (setting, general, auto-lock to never). Please turn off your wi-fi on your phone settings. Also, you can check the accuracy of your GPS on Google Maps, have it locate your position when you experience inaccuracies on the course. Is it accurate?
- I'm having crashing issues, what do I do?
- Please report crashing issues you are experiencing? (Bugs,etc.)

- Be sure to save all your data by syncing your past rounds to Viewtiful before you re-install (Go to stats, course, and tap on the cycle icon to the courses you plan to sync). It should automatically sync after you save and end each course. Tap and hold the ViewTi icon. Tap the x to remove the application from your phone. Open the App Store and download the application again. Be sure that you are using the same iTunes account that the original purchase was made with. It will initially mention the price but will then say that you have already paid and can download the app for free.
If you have an in-app upgrade (Viewti Golf or Viewti G to Viewti Golf 2010) you will need to download the correct original version first then upgrade from there, otherwise you will be charged by Apple.
